Paramount Studios under the leadership of Jim Gianopolus is adapting the first 2 novels into one film based on the character from the Jack Ryan universe.
John Clark made his first appearance in the Jack Ryan novel The Cardinal of the Kremlin before getting his own stand-alone story with Without Remorse . Clark is a former Navy SEAL who became an operations officer for the CIA, and at one point served as Ryan’s bodyguard.
Paramount regular and father of the Transformer Universe Akiva Goldsman is producing the film and is also writing it .
Sollima has had many offers coming off the Success of Sicario that over indexed globally and him moving houses from Sony to Paramount shows how badly he wants this project.
