Millennium films easily has one of the most Ambitious and Action packed Slate of 2019-2020 ( Rambo, Expendables 5, Angel has Fallen , Hell Boy Reboot )has put it’s most ambitious film the Reboot of Red Sonja on a Back Burner
Last year Millennium had announced the film as a part of it’s slate at the AFM ,however in the wake of the Accusations on Director Bryan Singer for Sexual Misconduct the film has been removed off the slate for this years EFM Berlin.
Red Sonja has been a film millennium wanted to produce as a part of it’s exercise to expand it’s Super Hero Universe as wonder women performed extremely well and that opened the gates to multiple women centered Action films.
Singer who recently partly completed Bohemian Rhapsody was removed from the project mid way.
Millennium has not removed him fromRed Sonja but rumors has that they are looking for suitable replacement for their Action adventure.
The Original Starred Brigitte Neilson and the Story followed Red Sonja a warrior who attacks and kills the keepers of a powerful talisman just before it is destroyed. Gedren then uses the power of the talisman in her raid of the city Hablac.
Red Sonja, sister of the keeper, sets out with her magic sword to overthrow Gedren. The talisman’s master Kalidor follows to protect her. Of course they fall in love – however Red Sonja’s power bases on the oath to never give herself to any man.
It is interesting to see how this plays out and who will come on board to direct.
