Super Girl Script in Development at Warner Bros

The DC Universe might not be the most successful , however what was amazingly successful was Wonder Women. Not only did it smash box office records it went on to win a lot of honors. Studio head Kevin Tsujihara has decided to launch another female Super Hero and it’s non other than Super girl.

Warner Bros and DC are developing a feature film based around Supergirl, the heroine and cousin of Superman.

Super girl was a teen when she escaped the doomed planet Krypton along with the infant who grew up as Clark Kent. Supergirl has been played by Melissa Benoist in the Greg Berlanti Warner Bros series creation that heads into Season Four on the CW.

DC Universe is now headed by Walter Hamada, who was a part of  many of New Line’s genre film hits before moving over to take over DC from Matt Reeves when the entire DC Universe was dismantled after Justice League, which grossed $615 million worldwide on a reported $300 million budget significantly under performing.
It is unclear whether Superman will appear in this but if the rumors are true that Warner Bros and DC Entertainment are looking to create a new template for future Superman movies moving them out of the dark world created by Snider.
 Oren Uziel  has been hired to write the screenplay. Uziel’s work includes  22 Jump Street, The Cloverfield Paradox, and the in production Sonic The Hedgehog. 
Warner is in no mood of slowing down their DC Universe and have an extremely interesting line up of films coming include The Joker, the Todd Phillips-directed film that will see Joaquin Phoenix play the iconic villain character.
Birds of Prey, the film that brings Margot Robbie back to her Harley Quinn character, with Cathy Yan (she directed the Sundance pic Dead Pigs) set to direct.
They also have Aquaman and Shazam coming up for release soon.
