Dev patel is hell bent on changing his image so he can appeal to a wider audience recently he closed a deal to star in an action thriller and now he is all set to play a medieval knight.
Dev Patel is in talks to star in A24’s Green Knight, a fantasy epic retelling of the medieval tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is one of the most famous tales in English literature almost as famous as robin hood. As the story goes, chivalrous and loyal Sir Gawain, a knight of King Arthur’s Round Table,
accepts the challenge of beheading the Green Knight and must wait a year and a day to receive a blow in return. In the end, it was a test of his loyalty to the king.
Dev is making some interesting choices in his career and this film could be a turning point for him in the Action genre.
David Lowery has been brought on to direct the film , his last film a ghost story did well and was well accepted by the audience.
Tim Headington and Theresa Steele Page of Ley Line Entertainment are producing the film and it will be interesting to see what kind of team they bring on to execute the Action.
