Breaking- BBC Cop Action Drama, Line of Duty Score the Highest opening of 2019

This once again goes to prove the Power of the Action Genre, BBC that’s known to produce a fair amount of Action Thriller shows like Strike Back and Body guard and have found success with both of them have another winner on their Hands.

BBC Action cop drama Line of Duty has scored its highest ever opening rating.The Show which is in it’s fifth season launched with 7.8M overnight viewers  scoring a 38% market share.

The ratings mean that the World Productions drama currently sits as the highest rated programme across all channels in 2019 so far. It was also a hit for 16-34 viewers as per sources.

The show is about a  ruthless leader of an Organised Crime Group (OCG), who hijack a seized drugs transport. It comes after three police officers are shot dead during the hijack and AC-12 move in to investigate possible police collusion.
