Gerard Butler has been making a killing at the box office of late. The Star who rose to success with 300 and then went on to lose that success joint with Millennium films to make a killing at the box office.
His last release Angel has fallen went on to make 150 million on a 40 million budget and the model sticks well for him , that has brought him to the attention of other major players.
Gerard Butler has found his latest action vehicle in the form of The Plane, an elevated action thriller that MadRiver International is opening to buyers at the American film Market next week.
Butler will star as commercial pilot Ray Torrance, who after a heroic job of successfully landing his storm-damaged aircraft in a war zone, finds himself caught between the agendas of multiple militia who are planning to take the plane and its passengers’ hostage.
The script is from Script comes from Charles Cumming and JP Davis (Violence Of Action), and is based on the book by Charles Cumming.
The film is produced by Legendary Action film producer Lorenzo di Bonvaventura who’s producing under his Banner Bi Bonaventura pictures.
The film is also co produced by
Mark Vahradian, MadRiver Pictures’ Marc Butan and Ara Keshishian, along with Gerard Butler and Alan Siegel under their G-BASE banner.
The film will be a hot buy at the American film market and if things go well this could be an amazing relationship between Butler and Bonaventura , the question is where will that keep the relation between him and Millennium’s Avi lerner.
