The trailer tells the Origin of Natasha. In the trailer we see Natasha breaks into a European apartment and fights knife-and-fist with her “sister” (Florence Pugh’s Yelena). They come together with David Harbour’s Alexei, aka The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz’s Melina for what promises to be “a hell of a reunion.
The Story possibly takes off from Captain America Civil War ending where Natasha meets Captain and tells him she has blown all her covers and needs to go back and figure out whom she is.
However in that film her hair is different so could they have been a time lapse. One thing we know forsure is she is back with her family to take on her creators.
Also featured in the trailer are glimpses of Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury and Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton/Hawkeye.
We know that Nick Fury too had disappeared at the end of Winter Soldier could there be a connection to his and NAtasha’s Storyline.
The film is directed by Australian director Cate Shortland who has directed film like the Berlin Syndrome and has found her big break in Black Widow.
The trailer has received 2100 trend tracks with a solid A score. It’s all set to open to a 65 million Domestic first frame.
All set to hit theaters on May 1 st 2020.
