Sky Dance Media owned by the biggest Action film producer in the Business today David Ellison has Acquired an animation Studio in Madrid Ilion Studio.
The companies had been working together for a long time on Multiple projects of Sky Dance. The acquisition gives animation chief John Lasseter control over all aspects of the Studio.
Skydance and Ilion, both of which are privately held, did not disclose a purchase price However the sale is said to be in he 400 million range with 40% stock options for Ilion Studios.
Lasseter, the major creative force at Pixar and Disney Animation, was ousted from the company in 2018 amid allegations of sexual misconduct with employees , however Sky Dance has decided to partner with them and take on their 500 employee work force.
The company’s upcoming films include “Luck,” the story of the unluckiest girl alive, and “Spellbound, however our sources tell us the real reason for the investment is that Sky dance has a lot of Action films in the pipeline like Tomorrow War and Top Gun Mavrick and the terminator reboot.
The films in Question have a heavy requirement of Visual Effects and it makes sense to control cost as that adds to the major chunk of the budget.

Sky dance’s library till date is the Jack Reacher series along with Mission impossible and the Terminator franchise, GI Joe Retaliation, and Gemini Man.
The last release was six Underground which was netflix highest viewed film directed by the most talented visual director in Hollywood Michael Bay.
Sky dance’s Upcoming films are Top Gun Mavrick, Without remorse, Snake eyes, The Tomorrow War, Mission Impossible 7 and 8 and the Old Guard.
