However since it was produced outside the Studio ( since it didnt officially launch then) the benifit didn’t hit the studios Bank account.
Now after the Disney buy out the world of Marvel is changing and its time to refunk the Vampire slayer,. Set to Star Mahershala Ali the studio has now landed a director.
34 year old Pakistani born Bassam Tariq is all set to direct the Academy Award winning Actor who’s making his jump into the Action Genre.
Bassam whos made one film till date with Britsh born Pakistani Actor Riz Ahmad has sure landed himself a Shark with the Blade reboot.
There were a lot of directors in the running however our sources tell us that it was Tariq s vision that got the studio to get him on board.
Marvel is expanding their directors ethnic base as part of their Global expansion plan from directors like Ryan Coogler, Chloé Zhao, Destin Cretton, Taika Waititi and Nia DaCosta . Bassan will be added to the list of the Global Conquest.
It will be interesting to see what take Bassam has on the script that could well see Blade landing in the Avengers.
