Breaking- Henry Cavill to star in Cult video game franchise Warhammer40,000 for Amazon Studios

Console to Screen adaptation has been the latest trend in LA LA Land and for good reason , the Halo franchise was a major success and so was the Mortal Kombat film , Amazon Studio that has been in the bid to boost their Action slate seems to have joined the race however lke everything they do they have a big name attached to the project.

Amazon Studios has confirmed it has secured global rights to the Warhammer 40,000 game from Games Workshop . The Live Action will be lead by non other than  Henry Cavill to star in and executive produce the franchise across all Amazon Studios productions.

Warhammer 40,000 is set in the far future, where humanity stands at the edge of what might be its brightest future, or its darkest age. The threats to humankind’s empire are many traitors driven by the fires of ambition, alien empires sworn to reclaim the stars and the corruption of reality by malevolent gods. It’s a battle royale for Survival.

Jeniffer Salke said She was extremely excited to build this franchise for amazon’s global audience and has found the absolutely right person to head the franchise in Henry. Henry who is coming off witcher and Mission Impossible fall out has finally found his calling in the Action genre and is keen on cementing his place as an Action bad ass has an already interesting line up of Action films like  Matthew Vaughn’s globe-trotting spy thriller Argylle, the upcoming reboot of Highlander with the fantastic Chad Stahelski and Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
