More than sundar susheel, this film seems risky. A Gentleman is slotted as action romance comedy. The story is set in the USA, about a young man with a boring job and preparing to get married. A case of mistaken identity brings a bunch of dangerous operatives into the hero’s life. Sure, there’s action, or we wouldn’t be sharing it here, but the special effects lack finesse.
Siddharth Malhotra has a dual persona, susheel Gaurav and risky Rishi. Imitating Hollywood action heroes, he puts in a dedicated effort to handle the action stunts. He Hardly looks the part of risky Rishi, but he fits the susheel Gaurav role better. Thankfully Jacqueline Fernandez, who plays the female lead, is not just an ornament in this film, she packs a some punch , how much only time will tell.
Incidentally, the buzz is that A Gentleman is heavily inspired by the 2010 Hollywood film Killers, starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl and Mr. and Mrs.Smith ( the action has sure been lifted from there)
