Reboots have been failing left and right, first it was spider man and then it was Fantastic four. However this reboot seems to be more grittier and more Darker than it’s predecessors.
The Mummy was one of the franchise that made Brandon Fraser one of the hottest actors in Hollywood in the late nineties. His career Sky rocketed and he starred in 2 other mummy’s post the smashing success of the first.
However Fraser’s Mummy was always a fun PG13 Pop corn Summer flick. The Franchise ended in 2008 with the last of the 3 called Tomb of the dragon Emperor. 9 years later Donna Langley of Universal Pictures has decided to reboot the franchise with one of the most serious Pop Corn Star’s in the Biz Tom Cruise . Will Langley’s bet Pay off.
To Start with the Mummy has a great tone to the film. People have always been fascinated by the Mystery behind the Casket and that has always worked at the Box office for the earlier franchise.
The trailer is action Packed , and doesn’t let you sit for relaxed for a moment. The mummy reboot is high action and special effects that makes it a fantastic watch. The Mystery behind Cruise’s Character also keeps us guessing as to what is in store for the mummy Fan’s.
Directed by Alex Kurtzman who has previously directed Para mount’s GI joe. The film is set for a June Release. Miss Langley has a winner on her Hand all the way and cruise another franchise written to him.
