Releasing in September this year, Baadshaho is inspired by real-life events during the Emergency in the 1970s and revolves around gold, a royal heritage, that belongs to Maharani Gayatri Devi (Ileana D’ Cruz). Ajay Devgn as a thief, an undercover cop (Vidyut Jammwal), and an army officer (Emraan Hashmi) is entrusted with protecting the country’s treasure. There’s daredevil action and lots of gritty gang scenes.
But, there’s much more happening in this versatile rugged-looking actor’s work life.
A historical action biopic, Tanaaji: An Unsung Warrior, is in the making, it will have the actor and filmmaker, Ajay Devgn as Tanaaji. Subedar Taanaji Malusare served as one of Shivaji’s generals in the seventeenth century, and considered as one of the unsung heroes in Indian history. The Viacom18 Motion Pictures co-production will be directed by Om Raut, and will release in 2019.
