Denzel Washington’s one of the finest actors we have seen in LALA Land. His body of work speaks for the talent the man is .However for the first time in his illustrious career Denzel is going to Star in a Sequel . That’s right the Equalizer 2 is the first ever Sequel he is ever a part of.
The thing to note here is that Denzel has been a part of many movies. Many movies that could have had sequels . however It’s an Out and out Action film he chose to make his Sequel Debut with. Sony Pictures announced that the film will hit theaters a month earlier from it’s original September date to August.
ThoughSony that has gone through a major change of late with new Studio head Anthony Vinciquerra taking the reigns , it has many reasons to smile for as It’s predecessor ( the Equalizer) did a staggering 193 million dollars on a 65 million dollar budget at it’s primary run.
Director Antoine Fuqua is returning to direct the sequel where the Equalizer will face bigger and graver threats. The feature film is based on a adaptation of CBS’s Tele series with the same name. I bet Viacom is feeling very sorry about giving the rights to the show up to Sony, It would be Cash cow for Paramount something the studio desperately needs.
