Action SIFI is a genre that’s rarely been exploited in India and space expedition never. However we have our very first Space flick directed by Shakti Sounder Rajan titled Tik Tik Tik.
The film looks heavily inspired from Armageddon , however a meteoroid hitting earth comes under the fair use doctrine and so Jerry Bruckhimer can’t do shit about this film.
Jeeyam Ravi plays a Magician who’s been sent into space to rob a 200 kiloton Nuclear War head from a Secure Chinese Space facility to deploy it on A Meteoroid that’s on it’s way to earth to wipe out India. The plot is larger than life and could have been something phenomenal.
However one needs to understand that the most important aspect of these films are the Visual Effects and that is the biggest let down of this trailer. The Visual Effects are appallingly bad and one can easily make out the CG elements which is the worst thing to happen to a CG heavy film.
Malaysian Actor Aaron Aziz plays the nemesis and Actress Nivitha Peturaj the love interest. The Director Doesn’t seem to know how to execute the visual effects and that clearly shows in the trailer.
The Director recently spoke to a leading Daily and mentioned that he had done the entire visual effects in India and even the Supervisors were from Here. Well that clearly shows .
I was looking forward to the trailer but was sadly disappointed , nothing works for me , however i pray it does for the makers and their investors.
