Just recently we broke the news that Bollywood Star Priyanka Chopra was to star with Chris Pratt in the adaptation of Ninja Cowboy Viking . Chopra was to play Pratt’s lady love who was a doctor and also one of the triples.
However we have now received the news that Universal Pictures has taken the Chris Pratt-led tentpole, “Cowboy Ninja Viking,” off its schedule and undated the movie. Rumors have it that the script could go into “turn around ” which means another studio might pic up this engaging actioner .
However the studio denies the rumor and states that the film is still in active development with Pratt, and director Michelle MacLaren remaining on board. The future of Chopra at this point seems unclear .
Universal Studios president Donna Langley who is one of the most prolific Studio heads in the history of the business Doesn’t want to rush into production and so is taking time in locking the script that has moved the production date sources say.
“Cowboy Ninja Viking” is based on the Image Comics graphic novel by A.J. Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo.
The series revolves around a counter-intelligence unit of Multiple Personality Disorder patients, formed by psychotherapist Dr. Sebastian Ghislain, who are transformed into agents known as Triplets (referring to the three different personalities inside their minds).
It is hinted that this is possible through experimental psychiatric conditioning and treatment, psychotropic drugs, and past life regression therapy. After the unit falls apart, its various members are turned into hired killers. Duncan, a Triplet who channels the skills of a Cowboy, Ninja, and Viking, is sent to find and stop the rogue Triplets
It was first adapted by Dan Mazeau and Ryan Engle . Craig Mazin wrote an earlier draft of the screenplay with an original version by Deadpool and Gi Joe retaliation writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.
