The trailer of Manikarnika has finally arrived. The film has been in the news for all sorts of controversies of late . Speculations of the director walking out and the title Star taking over the project. Along with issues between actors and re shoots the film has been filling the tabloids of late does the trailer live to the hype let’s find out.
Based on the Life of the Warrior Queen born Manikarnika Tambe aka Lakshmibai . Manikarnika was the queen of the State of Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh India and was One of the most prolific figures in the rebellion of 1857 .
Based on the trailer our guess is the film captures the incident between 24th of March till 17th of June from the first time she battled the British at the Jhansi fort till the last time she faced them at Gwalior.
Produced by Zee Studios the film is director By south Indian film director Krish . Krish made his debut in Hindi Cinema with Gabbar which Starred Akshay Kumar and this is his second outing.
Kangana Ranaut plays the title role, and her unconventional looks work extremely well for the film and the Character. She dominates the trailer and carries the rage and ranger of the warrior princess with great panache.
The film has received 1300 trend tracks with a solid B score. The film is well on it’s way to a solid 8 crs day one and a probable 30 crs INR over the weekend . This is the first teaser but a 7.5 is a lock in the numbers could well go above 8 crs INR in the coming weeks depending on the trend tracks.
Set to hit theaters on 25th of January 2019.
