MGM is home for Sylvester Stallone the studio that was formally known as RKO were the first people to green light Rocky that made Stallone the massive Star he is and now once again the prodigal son returns home.
MGM has been Struggling for a while and with it’s fading Stock prices and one Major franchise to back “Bond” MGM is in desperate need to lock another massive franchise and Stallone seems to have the answer.
MGM has acquired the original spec script, Samaritan, though one knows very little on the plot details the pic has been described as a dark, fresh take on the superhero genre one in the space of Hancock .

Stallone who had earlier found a home in Millennium NU Image is keen to make a home once again at MGM as he has not one but 3 film with the Studio.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out but Stallone is keen to make his Balboa productions into a major player in the Action genre.
