Though both the G I Joe film did well at the box office the film , Hasbro the owner of the franchise didn’t exactly see the sales of the Merchandise go up the brand did a quick re think and here we are with the best possible option to the franchise.
The franchise will re brand it’s self with a G I joe spin off snake eyes. Snake Eyes one of the most mysterious Character in the Series who was earlier projected an an American will now rebrand himself to an Asian.
Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) will be starring as the iconic. What’s amazing is the first Joe film was directed by John M Chu who directed Henry in Crazy Rich Asian’s.
The film is an Origin’s Story and talks about how Snake eyes joined the clan and became a Ninja , it will also talk how he becomes a Joe.
The producers have kept the rest of the cast a mystery but one knows that Andrew Koji (Bruce Lee’s Warrior) is Storm Shadow along with Indonesian Action Star Iko Uwais (The Raid, The Raid 2) who plays the character of the Hard Master.
G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes is directed by Robert Schwentke who has directed Red with Bruce Willis before and is produced by again Red Producer and Legendary Action film producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura along with Hasbro , Paramount, Allspark Pictures and David Ellison .
The film is all set to hit theaters in October 2020.
