Huayi Media and entertainement is all set to hop on to the big league with Roland Emmrich’s Sifi Actioner Moon Fall. The 150 million dollar Sifi Actioner will be half funded by the Chinese Media Brothers.

The script comes from director of Emmerich, and his 2012 co-writer Harald Kloser and Spenser Cohen. 2012 was a well written disaster film and Emmerich is well versed in that universe.
The Huayi deal was negotiated by AGC International, the international sales and distribution arm of Stuart Ford’s AGC Studios, and CAA Media Finance.
The deal makes sense in the wake of the mega success of the Wandering Earth that did a business of 700 million on a 50 million budget.
Emmerich is producing under his Centropolis banner, with Kloser producing through his company, Street Entertainment. Huayi Brothers co-founders Dennis Wang and James Wang will executive produce.
Emmerich is films are a big hit in China and this is one of the main reasons for the brothers to come on board.
The movie sold out at Cannes last year and was one of the market’s hottest titles. Key distribution partners include Lionsgate in North America, Entertainment Film Distributors in the UK, Leonine in Germany and Switzerland.
