David Leitch all set to remake” Kung Fu” at Universal .

David Leitch is quite the Maverick jumping from being a Stuntman to a Stunt coordinator to becoming a director he’s come a long long way.

After coming off the extremely successful Hobbs and Shaw he’s back to making another film for Universal Studios . Universal Pictures has optioned the rights to the 1972 TV series Kung Fu for a contemporary-set action packed feature film

The original  series starred actor David Carradine as a master martial artist who fled China after his master was murdered.

He wandered the Old Wild West helping the downtrodden and weathering rampant racism while eluding assassins trying to kill him.

He was a peaceful man until provoked, which happened at least once an episode and would go ahead and smash people up.

Leitch showed great potential in choreographing some breath taking Action Sequences for Ninja Assassin that went on to becoming a cult hit.

Kelly McCormick who’s also Leitch’s Wife and the amazing producer on Hobbs and Shaw will be producing the film along with producing  Bruce Lee’s iconic 1973 martial arts film Enter the Dragon at Warner Bros.

McCormick and Leitch produced the Ilya Naishuller-directed action pic Nobody for Universal, which releases August 14 and is carrying great reviews.
