Fate of the Furious was one of the biggest films of all times. It set Multiple records with smashing the world wide weekend Box office records with a staggering 500 million plus and broke the China Box Office weekend with a 190 million.
The film went on to earn 1.26 Billion world wide. Though the film was a monster success it was the start of the franchise split.
Rumors were ashore that The Rock and Vin Diesel were not getting along while the film was being made turned the rumors into facts when Dwayne and Jason Statham officially split from the franchise making their own Hobbs and Shaw.
The film did extremely well with a whopping 750 million world wide setting them up for the next film in its franchise.
With Dwayne and Statham gone can the franchise hold up. Lets find out.
In the last film Dom ( Diesel) got to know he had a Son in this film we got to know he has a brother. After the events of The Fate of the Furious, Dominic Toretto and his family must face Dominic’s younger brother Jakob, a deadly assassin, who is working with their old enemy Cipher.
The trailer introduces Dom spending quality time till his complexed brother returns to finish Dom to take the place of the Alpha male in the fast world.
To Start with John Cena has clearly been brought in to replace Johnson, and thats the trailers biggest problem. Will Cena is a huge WWE Star he doesn’t hold a candle to Johnson’s personality or Stardom and he’s not the best actor to have on board.
Though the Story is interesting of brother vs Brother one needed a better actor in the film to make the promo work . However saying that there are some interesting Action pieces in the trailer specially the engagement between Cena and Diesel.
The trailer also shows the resurrection of Han who was killed by Statham in Furious 6 , why they chose to bring him back, well one needs all the support they can get right.
The film has been directed by Justin lin who has directed 4 fast film before , however seeing the trailer he doesn’t seem too interested in the film.
All the old cast members are back including Charlize Theron and Hellen Miller. The trailer has received 6400 trend tracks with an Average A Score. That’s the lowest in the last 3 films.
The film is looking at a 60 million first frame domestic and a 600 million world wide as on date. F9 must will up in the next few trailers or else this could be the fate of the franchise.
