STX entertainment who’s tasted success with Den of Thieves is back to it’s Original Business model of Making modest budget Action flicks.
The next film for them is Dave Bautista’s My Spy Bautista as a hardened CIA operative who finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl, having been sent undercover to watch her family.
The film was earlier set to release on the 13th of March along with Blood Shot however seeing the reports of Blood Shots the film has decided to go back to his original date of April 17th.
STX does not make films in a bigger budget than 20 million dollars in and My Spy will well within that budget. The film has been made in 17 million .
The film has opened well down under bringing in close to 5 million dollars on the box office in Australia and New Zealand.
Bautista is doing well for himself and better than most wrestling super stars He’s got interesting films lined up like Dune and Army of The Dead.
Dune is set in the far future of humanity, Duke Leto Atreides accepts stewardship of the dangerous desert planet Arrakis, the only source of the most valuable substance in the universe, “the spice“, a drug which extends human life, provides superhuman levels of thought, and makes foldspace travel possible.
Though Leto knows the opportunity is an intricate trap set by his enemies, the Harkonnens, he takes his Bene Gesserit concubine Lady Jessica, young son and heir Paul, and most trusted advisers to Arrakis, also known as Dune. Leto takes control of the spice mining operation, which is made perilous by the presence of giant sandworms. A bitter betrayal leads Paul and Jessica to the Fremen, natives of Arrakis who live in the deep desert.
In Army of the dead He teams up with the amazing Zack Snyder the film tells the story of A group of mercenaries who plot a heist on a Las Vegas casino during a zombie outbreak.
