The film takes place after the events of Captain America Civil War and centers on Natasha reuniting with family after her escape from America in Search for her life .
Natasha Heads back to Russia where it all began , the film is an Origin story of how Natasha became the elite assassin and how she comes fro a family of Assassin. She must reunite with her family to go an take on her creator the Taskmaster.
The film co stars David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, Ray Winstone, William Hurt. Harbour will play The Red Guardian, a Soviet / Russian version of Captain America .
The Moscow-born test pilot and KGB agent was actually married to Natasha Romanova/The Black Widow in the comics However that has significantly changed in the MCU.
The comics version of Red Guardian also remained loyal to the motherland after Black Widow, disillusioned, defected to the U.S., though he became increasingly violent and vengeful. In the film he comes together to take down the creator.
Weisz plays Melina Vostokoff, who has a rather interesting connection to Black Widow as well. Melina after failing to live up to the legendary super-spy,
Melina left government service for a more lucrative mercenary job as the Iron Maiden. That job eventually led her to attempt to assassinate Black Widow on behalf of the wealthy Damon Dram, a.k.a. Indestructible Man.
Melina then joined up with Superia, a supervillain hellbent on elimination or enslavement of all men, and her band of female warriors known as Femizons.
The trailer is fresh and gritty and exactly what the MCU needs right now , like the captain AMerican Origin’s story the film gives you a fresh feel.
The trailer has received a stunning 4500 trend tracks with a Solid A+ score. The film is well on it’s way to a 85 million plus first frame and could even bump up by 10 million more.
Set to hit theaters on May 1 st.
