In the time of the Corona Virus Netflix is working round the clock to raise it’s stock and make it into a force to recon with .
They are aggressively marketing their content and are out to purchase any and all assets and proof of that is their recent deal.
Netflix has struck a first-look deal with BOOM! Studios, the comic book publisher behind franchises including Lumberjanes , Death Match and the world Famous Power Rangers to create live Action, Action content.
BOOM! Studios previously struck a first-look film deal with 20th Century Studios and the studio took a minority stake in the company. That first-look deal runs through January 2021 and the studio is releasing supernatural thriller The Empty Man in August.
However the Deal ran out with Disney taking over , It will now focus on working with Netflix with the streamer having access to one of the largest libraries of comic book IP outside of Marvel and DC.
Our sources tell us the first of the films will be Death Match. The comic is about THE SUPERHERO BATTLE ROYALE .
A powerful and mysterious supervillain has imprisoned the world’s greatest superheroes, forcing them to fight to the death until there is but one victor. It’s kill or be killed as we settle the score on all those hypothetical superhero match-ups in the ultimate DEATHMATCH.
Boom Generates 20 plus new comics a year and it will be interesting to see how many of those end up being produced by netflix.
