Mandalorian was one of the first originals from Disney plus and was extremely successful for the digital giants . However Covid 19 put a stop in everyone’s production but the New CEO BoB Chapek is all set to  not slow down production on Season 2 and has gotten a big name to direct it.

Robert Rodriguez finally is confirmed as director for Season 2 of Disney+’s The Mandalorian. Rodriguez is coming off a monster 170 million SIFI Actioner Alita Battle ANgel and is the perfect fit to make Season 2 of the successful series. 

Rodriguez a self confessed fan of the Star Wars Universe informed his fans through Social Media that it was his honor to be a part of the Series. 

The live-action interstellar bounty hunter series premiered November 12 on Disney+, the day the streaming service launched and did Extremely well. There are more than a few new faces in Season 2.

 The new faces for Season 2 are Rosario Dawson, Michael Biehn and a recurring Bill Burr. They join returning stars including Pedro Pascal in the title role, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte, Julia Jones and Ming-Na Wen.

Though there were Rumors that Season 2 would be delayed Disney’s new CEO has put all Rumors to rest and has said that release will go on as planned.

Bob Chapek speaking with CNBC t said that the series wrapped production before the COVID-19 outbreak “and they’ve been in post.  the show will come as planned.“

With 54 Million Subscribers Disney plus is one of the fastest growing platfroms .
