Iko Uwais is back with Headshot, we earlier released a teaser trailer, however this carries more blood and gore. Directed by the critically acclaimed Timo Tjahjanto who’s last film killers created a lot of buzz. Head shot tells the story of a mysterious young man who, after months in a coma from a gunshot wound to the head, is nursed back to health by a young student-doctor, Ailin. Realizing that the man has lost his memory and identity, the two quickly grow closer, not realizing that behind their momentary peace lays danger. Soon their lives collide with a gang of dangerous criminals led by an enigmatic crime lord—and with every violent confrontation, his memory brings him closer to a dark truth as the lethal personality awakening within him starts to reveal who he really is.
While the trailer is cut well, it lacks the feel of a Gareth Evans films. Gareth knows what works in a low budget film and sticks to it, which makes the movie dynamic , on the other hand Timo’s film seems to be a little all over the place.
The film is set to hit theaters on March 3rd but with Logan releasing the same day, I don’t know if the film will get the number of Exhibition properties it needs to be a success.
The Action of the film is based around Silat which Iko is a master of Sadly, the movement is limited and that is evident in the trailer.
We at amdb.in wish the entire team all the best.
