Marvel’s newest adventure will be a hammer-twirling, thumping Thor, thundering to cinemas in a October/November 2017.
Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Ragnarok picks up from the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Thor will arrive in Asgard after hearing about trouble in his home world.
Synopsis: Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.
Benedict Cumberbatch’s Dr. Strange will make an appearance and the film will lay the groundwork for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. However, Ragnarok isn’t just a “set up” movie, but it will reinvents the Thor franchise.
